Oud Gotham is an intriguing blend that starts off very urban. Burnt rubber, ash, smoke and leather dominate the opening. It's a very ominous smell, making you feel like you are wandering alone in a harbor or metropolitan port on a dark rainy day. Once settled the woody notes start to rise. The urban setting fades out, now you are waking up in church after holy mass, once the fumes of incense have settled down. It's only you now in the benches.
Oud Gotham is a unique story in itself.
Surpuissant, radical, sans aucune concession. Une immersion immédiate dans un monde sombre, urbain, dans les bas-fonds et les ruelles où seuls les braves osent s'aventurer. Tout y passe : cambouis, pétrole, cuir, goudron, fumé, suggérés par un assemblage noble et très subtil, tout en maîtrise.
On se rapprocherait presque des portes de l'enfer, pour ceux qui osent...
